This time around, The Rub enlisted the help of recent Rub party guest DJs A-Trak (ITF + DMC World Champion/Kanye West's DJ), DJ Platurn (2004 Scion Free Up Your Mix Champion), Paul Nice (Poughkeepsie's Finest) and Max Glazer (Federation Sound) in addition to the usual suspects (DJ Crooked, Catchdubs, Diplo, Low Budget, Omega One, Brendan Bring'Em and Mark Ronson) and The Rub residents (DJ Ayres & DJ Eleven) for this second volume of remixes. It's the Motherfucking Remix Vol 2 sees the crew step their production game up heavily, running the gamut from simple two turntable blends to intricately multitracked and arranged original remixes. In keeping with the arc of The Rub party in Brooklyn, the boys genre-hop across a vast spectrum of music: disco, old school rap, dancehall, 80s pop, indy rock, soul, southern hip-hop, classic break beats, intimate crunk and booty bass.
